ORDINANCE NS-731 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATIONS ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 496 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 7-5-9 <br /> (EXHIBIT AA 496 B) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application 496, filed by <br />MARVIN and RUSSELL ROHRS for a change in District classifications <br />from the R-l, R-2, and C-1 Districts to the C-4 District, and said <br />Commission has recommended approval of said reclassification in <br />accordance with Exhibit AA 496 B, which provides for R-lB zoning <br />along the southerly and easterly boundaries of the subject property; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment and that the use <br />under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: 'I~at the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel 1: <br /> <br />Beginning at that point where the center line of Seventeenth <br />Street intersects the center line of Grand Avenue; thence <br />southerly along the center line of Grand Avenue for a <br />distance of 535.5 feet, more or less; thence easterly along <br />a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Seventeenth Street for a distance of 733.5 feet, more or <br />less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel <br />to the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of <br />535.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of Seventeenth <br />Street; thence westerly along the center line of Seventeenth <br />Street for a distance of 733.5 feet, more or less, to the <br />point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-i, R-2, and C-1 Districts to the <br />C-4 District, and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to <br />show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 496 B. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />R~rc~l 2: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue, <br />said point being located 535.5 feet, more or less, <br />southerly from that point where the center line of Grand <br />Avenue intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; <br />thence southerly along the center line of Grand Avenue <br />for a distance of 75 feet, more or less; thence easterly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center line <br />of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 808.5 feet, more <br />or less; thence northerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance <br />of 610.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of <br />Seventeenth Street; thence westerly along the center line <br />of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 75 feet, more or <br />less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel <br />to the center line of Grand Avenue, the same being the <br />easterly boundary of Parcel 1 hereinabove described, for <br />a distance of 535.5 feet, more or less; thence westerly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br /> <br /> <br />
