ORDINANCE NS-733 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 498 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 17-5-9 <br /> (EXHIBIT AA 498 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 498, filed by <br />The Broomell Corporation and George A. Gulick for the purpose of <br />prezoning proper~y in the County R-P and R-4 Zones to the City of <br />Santa Ana C-2 District, and said Commission has recommended APPROVAL <br />of said prezoning; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the 21st day of May, 1964, said territory was <br />annexed to and became a part of the City of Santa Ana and thereupon <br />became classified as A-1 (General Agricultural District); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment and that the use <br />under the new classification will not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding territory. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of First Street <br />located 557.7 feet, more or less, westerly from that point <br />where the center line of First Street intersects the center <br />line of Tustin Avenue; thence westerly along the center line <br />of First Street for a distance of 643.5 feet, more or less; <br />thence southerly for a distance of 766.4 feet, more or less; <br />thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of First Street for a distance of 643.5 feet, <br />more or less; thence northerly for a distance of 766.4 feet, <br />more or less, to the center line of First Street and the <br />point of beginning, <br />is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the C-2 District, <br />and Sectional District t~4ap 17-5-9 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 498 A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: 'i"nat this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of July, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COU~iCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COU~?~Y OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> ) <br /> I, DORIS M.
