ORDINANCE NS-756 REPEALING SECTIONS 3500, <br />3501, 3502, 3503, 3504, 3505, 3511, 4230, <br />4231, 4233, 4234, 4235, 4236, and 4250 OF <br />THE SA~ITAANA MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, recent court decisions have held that many municipal ordinances <br />of cities throughout the State of California have been preempted by state law, <br />and therefore are unconstitutional; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, several code sections of the Santa Ana Municipal Code are simi- <br />lar or identical to said unconstitutional ordinances. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOEE~ THE CITY COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That Santa Aha Municipal Code Sections 3500 <br />(Definitions), 3501, ("Dangerous or Deadly Weapons"), 3502, <br />(Carrying Concealed Weapon), 3503 (Disorderly Conduct), <br />3504 (Loitering), 3505 (In Automobile), 3511 (Nuisances: <br />Destruction of Weapons), 4230 (Soliciting for Illicit Pur- <br />poses), 4231 (Unlawful Occupancy)~ 4233 (Disorderly House), <br />4234 (Contraceptives. Sales Prohibited), 4235 (Indecent <br />Exposure), 4236 (Attire of Opposite Sex)~ and 4250 (Drunken- <br />ness in Private) are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and <br />after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ama at its <br />regular meeting held on the ~t~tday of September, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COU~ OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SAIITA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I~ DORIS M.
