ORDINANCE NS-917 AMENDING THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9270 OF PART 7, CHAPTER <br />2, ARTICLE IX THEREOF TO DELETE ESTABLISHED SET- <br />BACK LINES ON FIRST STREET <br /> <br /> WI{EREAS, as the result of the realignment of First Street <br />between Townsend Street and Main Street on the North and between <br />Daisy Street and Main Street on the South, the established set- <br />back lines in said areas no longer serve their original purpose <br />and are superfluous. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 9270 of Part 7, Chapter 2, Article <br />IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 9270. Setback Lines Established. <br /> <br /> Setback Lines along the following streets and portions of <br />streets in the City are hereby established and re-established, <br />between which Setback Lines and which streets, respectively, <br />no person shall erect or move in any building, structure or <br />thing, except that the construction or maintenance of a wall, <br />fence or hedge of no more than four (4) feet in height between <br />a Setback Line and the street line shall not be prohibited by <br />this Section if it complies with other provisions of this Code. <br /> <br />The Setback Lines are located and described as follows: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />North Broadway, on both sides, from Tenth Street to <br />Santa Clara Avenue, 55 feet from and at right angles <br />to the survey center line of said street. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />North Broadway, on the east side, from Santa Clara <br />Avenue to the Southern Pacific Railroad, 100 feet <br />from and at right angles to the survey center line of <br />said street. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />North Flower Street, on both sides, from the North <br />line of Tract No. 748 to the South line of Santa <br />Clara Avenue, 80 feet from and at right angles to <br />the survey center line of said street. <br /> <br />West Seventeenth Street, on the North side, from <br />Bristol Street West to a point 138.71 feet East of <br />the survey center line of Alona Street, 140 feet <br />North of and at right angles to the survey center <br />line of Seventeenth Street; and on the North side, <br />from Bristol Street to Baker Street, 60 feet from <br />and at right angles to the survey center line of <br />Seventeenth Street. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />West First Street, on the north side between Townsend <br />Street and the Santa Ana River, 55 feet from and at <br />right angles to the survey center line of First Street; <br />on the south side between Daisy Street and the Santa <br />Ana River, 55 feet from and at right angles to the <br />survey center line of First Street. <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />North Ross Street, from Nineteenth Street to Santa <br />Clara Avenue, on both sides, 65 feet from and at <br />right angles to the surveyed center line of Ross <br />Street. <br /> <br />Bristol Street, on both sides, from the Santa Aha <br />Freeway to Fifth Street, and from Fourth Street to <br />Warner Avenue, 40 feet from and at right angles to <br />the survey center line. <br /> <br /> <br />
