ORDINANCE NS-928 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br />0NAMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 626 FILED BY SANTIAGO <br />DEVELOPMENT COMPkNYAND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT <br />MAP 36-5-10 (EXHIBIT Ak 626 A) <br /> <br /> WHERE~S, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 626, filed by <br />SANTIAGO DEVELOPMENT COMPANY for a change in District classification <br />from the R-1 District to the R-1 PD District, and said Commission, <br />by its Resolution 5843, has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassi- <br />fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 626 A; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />said reclassification on published notice as required by law and does <br />now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare <br />require the following amendment, and that the use under the new <br />classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at that point where the center line of MacArthur <br />Boulevard intersects the easterly boundary of the Orange <br />County Flood Control Channel; thence easterly along the <br />center line of MacArthur Boulevard for a distance of 1,740.7 <br />feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of <br />486.6 feet, more or less; thence westerly for a distance of <br />125 feet, more or less; thence southerly along the center line <br />of Birch Street for a distance of 259.5 feet, more or less; <br />thence southwesterly along the center line of Birch Street <br />for a distance of 22 feet, more or less; thence westerly for <br />a distance of 138 feet, more or less; thence southwesterly <br />for a distance of 85 feet, more or less; thence southwesterly <br />for a distance of 298.7 feet; thence westerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of MacArthur <br />Boulevard for a distance of 654 feet, more or less; thence <br />southerly for a distance of 30 feet; thence westerly along a <br />line approximately parallel to the center line of Talbert <br />Avenue for a distance of 600 feet, more or less, to the easterly <br />boundary of the Orange County Flood Control Channel right of <br />way; thence northerly along easterly boundary of said Orange <br />County Flood Control Channel right of way for a distance of <br />1084 feet, more or less, to the center line of MacArthur <br />Boulevard and the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-1 PD District, <br />and Sectional District Map 36-5-10 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 626 A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED A1ND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of August, 1968. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />' M~YOR ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
