ORDINANCE NS-788 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br />ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 520 FILED BY VIRGIL <br />AND BEATRICE ELKINS AND ~ENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT <br />MAP 23-5-10 (FDG~IBIT AA 520 B) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 520, filed by <br />VIRGIL and BEATRICE ELKINS for a change in District classification <br />from the R-1 District to the P District, and said Commission has <br />determined that the LP zoning would be consistent with the development <br />of the area and has recommended that the subject property be reclassi- <br />fied from the R-1 District to the LP District as shown on Exhibit <br />AA 520 B; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment and that the use <br />under the new classification will.not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Edinger Avenue <br />located 135 feet, more or less, easterly from that point <br />where the center line of Edinger Avenue intersects the <br />center line of Center Street; thence northerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of Center Street <br />for a distance of 330 feet, more or less; thence easterly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Edinger Avenue for a distance of 216.5 feet, more or less; <br />thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Center Street for a distance of 330 feet, <br />more or less, to the center line of Edinger Avenue; thence <br />westerly along the center line of Edinger Avenue for a <br />distance of 216.5 feet, more or less, to the point of <br />beginning, <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the LP District, and <br />Sectional District Map 23-5-10 is hereby amended to show said re- <br />classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 520 B. <br /> SECTION 2: That t'his Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of April, 1965. <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
