ORDINANCE NS-789 CHA/~GING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br />ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 535 FILED BY G. HOWARD <br />ROBERTSHAW AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP <br />24-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 535 B) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 535 filed by <br />G. HOWARD ROBERTSHAW for a change in District classification from <br />the R-1 District to the C-2 District, and at said hearing it was <br />established that a C-5 zoning with an R-lB strip would be more <br />appropriate for this area ~nd said Commission has recommended approval <br />of Exhibit 535-B reclassifying the subject property from the R-1 <br />District to the C-5, R-lB, and R-1 Districts; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendments and that the use <br />under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel !: <br /> <br />Beginhing at a point on the center line of Warner Avenue <br />located 47.5 feet, more or less, easterly from that point <br />where the center line of Warner Avenue intersects the <br />center line of Van Ness Avenue; thence northerly along a <br />line approximately parallel to the center line of Van Ness <br />Avenue for a distance of 163 feet, more or less; thence <br />easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 169.2 feet, more <br />or less; thence southerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Van Ness Avenue for a <br />distance of 163 feet, more or less, to the center line of <br />Warner Avenue; thence westerly along the center line of <br />Warner Avenue for a distance of 169.2 feet, more or less, <br />to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified fr~ the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and <br />Sectional District Map 24-5-10 is hereby amended to show said re- <br />classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 535 B. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Parce.1 2: Beginning at a point located 163 feet, more or less, <br /> northerly from the center line of Warner Avenue and 47.5 <br /> feet, more or less, easterly from the center line of <br />Van Ness Avenue, said point being the northwest corner of <br />Parcel 1, hereinabove described; thence northerly along <br />a line approximately parallel to~e center line of Van Ness <br />Avenue for a distance of 15 feet, more or less; thence <br />easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 105 feet, more or <br />less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel <br />to the center line of Uan. Ness Avenue for a distance of <br />154.4 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of Warner Avenue <br />for a distance of 64.2 feet, more or less; thence southerly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Van Ness Avenue for a distance of 169.4 feet, more or less, <br />to the northeast corner of Parcel 1, hereinabove described; <br />thence westerly along the north line of said Parcel 1 for <br />a distance of 169.2 feet, more or less, to the point of <br />beginning, <br />is hereby reclassified frc~ the R-1 District to the R-lB District, and <br />Sectional District Map 24-5-10 is hereby amended to show said re- <br />classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 535 B. <br /> <br /> <br />
