ORDINANCE NS-795 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF <br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "HARBOR AND ~RNER WEST <br />ANNEX" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 15, 1965, the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory <br />by Resolution 65-25, which said Resolution was regularly published <br />as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held <br />on April 5, 1965, which hearing was regularly held; after final <br />adjournment of said hearing on protests it was found and declared <br />by Resolution 65-50 that a majority protest had not been made. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: rI~at it finds and declares that said territory, <br />hereirfbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution 65-25 <br />was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City <br />of Santa Ana, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the <br />City existing at the time of this annexation. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County <br />of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of the City of <br />Santa Ana, California, said point being an angle point on the <br />boundary of Talbert and Harbor N.W. Annex, Ordinance NS-328, <br />said point being Nort~h 1° 19' 45" West 330.00 feet from the <br />intersection of the East line of Harbor Boulevard, which is <br />parallel wit'n and 40.00 feet East, measured at right angles, <br />from the center line of said Harbor Boulevard, with the center <br />line of Talbert Avenue, as said intersection is shown on a map <br />recorded in Book 40, page 49, Records of Surveys, in the Office <br />of the County Recorder of Orange County, California; and running <br />thence South 88a 45' 15" West along said City boundary 1360.00 <br />feet more or less to the West line of the Southeast one quarter <br />(SE¼) of the Southeast one quarter (SE ¼) of Section 28, Town- <br />ship 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, <br />and to an angle point in said City boundary; thence North <br />1° 19' 45" West 990.00 feet along said City boundary to the <br />Southwest corner of the Northeast one quarter (NE %) of the <br />Southeast one quarter (SE %) of Section 28 and to an angle point <br />on said City boundary; thence West along said City boundary and <br />along the North line of the South one quarter (S~ ~) of Section 28 <br />a distance of 960.00 feet more or less to the Easterly right of <br />way line of the Santa Ana River through the Newbert Protection <br />District and to an angle point in said City boundary; thence <br />departing from said City boundary North 28° 19' 26" East along <br />said Easterly right of way line 1510.00 feet, more.or less, to <br />an angle point; thence North 28° 20' 49" East along said Easterly <br />right of way line 2270.00 feet more or less to the beginning of a <br />tangent curve concave Northwesterly, having a radius of 23,093.33 <br />feet; thence Northeasterly along the arc of said curve and along <br />said Easterly right of way line through a central angle of <br />1° 24' 15" an arc distance of 565.96 feet to its intersection with <br />a line which is 50.00 feet Northeasterly, measured at right angles, <br />from the center line of Harbor Boulevard as shown on a map recorded <br />in Book 30, page 43, Records of Surveys in the office of the <br />County Recorder of said County, said point of intersection being <br />an angle point on said City boundary as annexed by the croddyland <br />Annex No. 1, Ordinance NS-184; thence South 18a 16' 42" East along <br />said City boundary 239.23 feet to an angle point in said City <br />boundary; thence South 71° 43' 18" West along said City boundary <br />10.00 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence South <br />18° 16' 42" East along said City boundary 160.00 feet to the <br /> <br /> <br />
