ORDINANCE NS-801 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 543 FILED BY R. C. BENNER AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 5-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 543 A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 543, filed by R. C. BENNER for a change in District classification from the A-1 District to the R-4 District, and said Commission has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit 543 A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point on the center line of Santa Clara Avenue located 662.9 feet, more or less, westerly from that point where said center line intersects the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 393.04 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 498 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 393.04 feet, more or less, to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence easterly along the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 498 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning; EXCEPTING THEREFROi~ a strip of land 36 feet wide extending northerly from the southern boundary of the above-described parcel to Santa Clara Avenue, the center line of said strip of land being parallel to and 242 feet west of the easterly boundary of the above-described parcel; ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM four spandrel shaped parcels of land having 25-foot radii and located at the intersections of the east and west lines of the above described 36-foot strip with the north and south boundaries of said strip, be and the same is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-4 District, and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 543 A. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
