ORDINANCE NS-827 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br />ON AMEnDMEnT APPLICATION NO. 561, FILED BY GULF <br />OIL CORPORATION OF CALIFORNIA, AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 561 B) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Cc~mission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application NO. 561, filed by <br />GULF OIL CORPORATION OF CALIFORNIA, for a change in District classi- <br />fication from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and said <br />Commission has recommended approval of said reclassification in <br />accordance with Exhibit AA 561 B which provides that the northwest <br />corner of the subject property re~ain classified as R-i; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under <br />the new classification willl not be detrimental to the surrounding <br />property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue located <br /> 167 feet, more or less, southerly from that point where the center <br /> line of Grand Avenue intersects the center line of Santa Clara <br /> Avenue; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the <br /> center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 177 feet, more <br /> or less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to <br /> the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 167 feet, more or <br /> less, to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence easterly <br /> along the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of <br /> 337.1 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line approxi- <br /> mately parallel to the center line of Grand Avenue for ..a distance <br /> of 339.7 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approxi- <br /> mately parallel to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a <br /> distance of 514.1 feet, more or less, to the center line of Grand <br /> Avenue; thence northerly along the center line of Grand Avenue <br /> for a distance of 172.2 feet, more or less, to the point of <br /> beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and <br />Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi- <br />fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 561 B. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of October, 1965. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
