ORDINANCE NS-839 PREZONING AND ESTABLISHING DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON A~MENT APPLICATION NO. 579 <br />INITIATED BY TaE PLANNING C0~5SSION AND A~NuING <br />SECTIONAL DISTRICT NAPS 17-5-9 AND 20-5-9 <br />(EXHIBIT AA 579 A) <br /> <br /> By <br /> <br />"ASS ' T" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Cmm~ission has given notice of and duly held <br />a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 579, initiated by the Planning <br />Cu,~ission, proposing to prezone and establish district classification from <br />the County of Orange lO0-M i - 20,000 District to the City of Santa Ana M 1 <br />District, and said C~m, ission has recommended approval of said prezoning and <br />classification in accordance with Exhibit 579 A; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice <br />and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare <br />require the following amendment and that the use under the new classification <br />will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, T~ CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the County of Orange, State <br />of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point located 1180 feet, more or less, westerly from <br />the east curb line of Ritchey Street and 996.78 feet, more or less, <br />southerly from the center line of McFadden Avenue; thence southerly <br />along the present Santa Ana City Limit line a distance of 3977.9 feet, <br />more or less; thence easterly to the west curb line of Ritch&y Street, <br />a distance of 1131.7 feet, more or less; thence southerly 233.1 feet, <br />more or less; thence approximately perpendicular to the line of the <br />Newport Freeway 60 feet, more or less; thence northeasterly on a line <br />approximately extruding frcm the southerly limits of the southeasterly <br />curb line of Newport 3510 feet, more or less; then at right angles <br />to said line northwesterly 60 feet, more or less; thence north- <br />northeasterly a distance of 207 feet, more or less; thence nearly <br />due north a distance of 64.3 feet, more or less; thence westerly <br />lll.6 feet, more or less; thence northwest by westerly 43 feet, more <br />or less; thence north-northwesterly a distance of 255.7 feet, more <br />or less, to the southerly line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe <br />Railroad right of way; thence nearly perpendicularly across said <br />right of way, northeasterly, a distance of 50 feet, more or less; thence <br />northwesterly approximately along the northern line of said right of <br />way a distance of 2950 feet, more or less, to the east curb line of <br />Ritch~y Street; thence southerly 537.3 feet, more or less, along said <br />easterly curb line of Ritch~ Street; thence westerly approximately <br />paralleling Wilshire Avenue ll80 feet, more or less, to the point of <br />beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby prezoned and classified from the County of Orange 100-M 1 - 20,000 <br />District to the City of Santa Aha M i District, and Sectional District Maps <br />17-5-9 and 20-5-9 are hereby amended to sh~* said prezoning and classification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: This prezoning and classification shall become effective <br />whensoever in the future the hereinabove described property is annexed to the <br />City of Santa Aha or thirty days from and after the date of the adoption of <br />this Ordinance, whichever shall be the later date. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of April, 1966. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />DORIS M.
