ORDINANCE NS-846 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 583, INITIATF~D BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 23-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 583 A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 583 initiated by the Planning Commission for a change in District classifications from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5 and R-lB Districts, and said Commission has recommended approval of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit 583 A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 1: Beginning at a point on the center line of Bristol Street located 142.8 feet, more or less, northerly from that point where the center line of Bristol Street intersects the center line of St. Andrew Place; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of St. Andrew Place for a distance of 180 feet, more or less; thence northerly for a distance of 25 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of St. Andrew Place for a distance of 350 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 209.9 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of St. Andrew Place for a distance of 530 feet, more or less, to the center line of Bristol Street; thence southerly along the center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 229.7 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5 District, and Sectional District Map 23-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 583 A. SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 2: Beginning at a point located 180 feet, more or leas, westerly from the center line of Bristol Street and 142.8 feet, more or less, northerly from the center line of St. Andrew Place, said point being on the southerly boundary line of Parcel 1, hereinabove described; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of St. Andrew Place for a distance of 350 feet, more or less; thence northerly for a distance of 25 feet,more or less, to the southwest corner of Parcel 1, hereinabove described; thence easterly along the south line of said Parcel 1 for a distance of 350 feet, more or less; thence southerly for a distance of 25 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-lB District, and Sectional District Map 23-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 583 A. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption. -1-
