ORDINANCE NS-848 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 588, FILED BY RUTH M. DuHART, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 8-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 588 B) W~ER~AS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application NO. 588, filed by RUTH M. DuHART for a change in District classification from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and said Commission found the request to be consistent with the established zoning policy on Seventeenth Street but recommended that a 50-foot R-lB parking buffer be established along the rear of the property as shown on Exhibit AA 588 B; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding area. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 1: Beginning at a point on the center line of Seventeenth Street located 214.0 feet, more or less, easterly from that point where said center line intersects the center line of Linwood Avenue; thence easterly along the center line of Seventeenth street for a distance of 199.6 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Linwood Avenue for a distance of 211.1 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 200 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Linwood Avenue for a distance of 211.1 feet, more or less, to the center line of Seventeenth Street and the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and Sectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi- fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 588 B. SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 2: Beginning at the southwest corner of Parcel 1,hereinabove described; thence easterly along the south line of said Parcel 1 for a distance of 200 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Llnwood Avenue for a distance of 50 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 200 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Linwood Avenue for a distance of 50 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-lB District, and Sectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi- fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 588 B. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
