ORDINANCE NS-860 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF
<br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA ANA RIVER SOUTH OF
<br />FIFTH STREET ANNEX" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on July 5, 1966, the City Council of the City of
<br />Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by
<br />Resolution 66-97, which said Resolution was regularly published as
<br />required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held on
<br />August 15, 1966, which hearing was regularly held; after final
<br />adjournment of said hearing on protests it was found and declared
<br />by Resolution 66-120 that a majority protest had not been made.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory,
<br />hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution 66-97
<br />was adopted initiating thisproceeding; was contiguous to the City
<br />of Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the
<br />City existing at the time of~is annexation.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
<br />of Orange, State of California, described as:
<br />
<br />Beginning at the southeast corner of the "Harbor and Edinger
<br />N.~. Annex" to the City of Santa Ana as adopted by Santa Ana
<br />City Ordinance NS-723, said point lying on the Westerly right
<br />of way line of the former Newbert Protection District Channel
<br />for the Santa Ana River; thence North 14° 01' 16" East, 790.00
<br />feet, more or less, along said City boundary and along said
<br />westerly right of way line to a point on a non-tangent curve
<br />concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 22,718.33 feet; thence
<br />Northeasterly along said curve, along said City boundary, and
<br />along said Westerly right of way line, through a central angle of
<br />1° 23' 14", an arc distance of 550.00 feet, more or less, to the
<br />Northeast corner of said City Ordinance NS-723 and to the Southeast
<br />corner of the "West Santa Aha Annex" to the City of Santa Aha as
<br />adopted by Santa Ana City Ordinance NS-367; thence departing from
<br />said "Harbor and Edinger N.E. Annex" Northeasterly along said
<br />curve, along said City boundary, and along said Westerly right of
<br />way line, through a central angle of 3° 30' 28", an arc distance
<br />of 1,390.91 feet to a tangent line; thence North 9° 19' 01" East
<br />1,296.00 feet along said tangent line, along said City boundary,
<br />and along said Westerly right of way line to a point in a tangent
<br />curve concave Southeasterly and having a radius of 11,659.20 feet;
<br />thence Northeasterly along said curve, along said City boundary,
<br />and along said Westerly right of way line, through a central angle
<br />of 16° 15' 17", an arc distance of 3,307.70 feet, more or less,
<br />to an angle point, said angle point being the Southwest corner of
<br />the "Fifth Street and Santa Aha River S.E. Annex" to the City of
<br />santa Aha as adopted by Santa Ana City Ordinance NS-666, said
<br />point also being on a line that is parallel with and 30.00 feet
<br />Southerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of
<br />Fifth Street; thence departing frc~ said "West Santa Ana Annex"
<br />and from said Westerly right of way line of the former Newbert
<br />Protection District Channel, South 89° 13' 16" East 448.00 feet,
<br />more or less, along said parallel line and along said City boundary
<br />to the Easterly right of way line of the foz~ner Newbert Protection
<br />District Channel, and to an angle point in said City boundary,
<br />said point being on an arc of a non-tangent curve concave South-
<br />easterly and having a radius of 11,259.20 feet, said curve being
<br />concentric with said Westerly right of way line of the former
<br />Newbert Protection District, having a radius of 11,659.20 feet;
<br />thence Southwesterly along said curve, along said City boundary,
<br />and along said Easterly right of way line, through a central angle
<br />of 3~ 34' 39", an arc distance of 703.00 feet, more or less, to an
<br />
