NS-2153 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REVISING ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT THE <br />1990 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL <br />CODE WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That section 8-667 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />8-667. Adoption by reference. <br /> <br /> There is adopted by the city that certain code known as <br />the National Electrical Code, 1990 Edition. The said code is <br />adopted and incorporated as fully as if set forth at length <br />herein, as provided for in Section 419 of the Charter of the <br />city, subject to all amendments set forth in this article Any <br />provision of this article amending the "electrical code" or <br />"National Electrical Code" shall be construed as amending the <br />above-said code edition. The above-said code edition, as thus <br />amended, together with all other provisions of this article, <br />shall be known as the electrical code of the City of Santa <br />ana. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That section 8-711 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Bec. 8-711. Permits-Required. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation <br />to install, alter, repair, move, or convert any electrical <br />equipment regulated by this code, or cause the same to be done <br />without first obtaining a separate permit for each building or <br />structure, each office suite, and each unit in a commercial or <br />industrial building, from the building official. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That section 8-720 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />sec. 8-720.
