ORDINANCE NS-873 AMENDING SECTION 2267 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCLUDE NOVEMBER <br />AS AN OFFICIAL HOLIDAY FOR CITY EMPLOYEES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in recognition of the service rendered by citizens <br />of this nation in past wars, November llth has been designated as <br />Veterans' Day; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in observance of this day, it is the intent of this <br />City Council that November llth be declared as an official holiday <br />for the employees of the City of Santa Ana and that Section 2267 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code be amended to include said holiday. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Part 1 of Chapter 2, Article II of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Section <br />2267 thereof to read in words and figures as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 2267. Holidays. <br /> <br /> Legal holidays observed by City employees shall be <br />January 1, February 22, May 30, July 4, the first Monday <br />in September, November 11, December 25, Good Friday from <br />12 noon to 3 P.M., Thanksgiving Day and every day pro- <br />claimed by the Mayor as a holiday for City employees. <br />Any holiday which falls on Sunday will be observed on <br />the following Monday. Any holiday which falls on a Satur- <br />day shall be observed in accordance with a schedule to be <br />determined by the department head in order to allow public <br />offices to remain open on the Friday preceding the holiday. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty <br />days from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of March, 1967. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) ss <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
