ORDINANCE NS-891 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION
<br />OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "TUSTIN AND FOURTH
<br />S.W. ANNEX NO. 1" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, on June 19, 1967, the City Council of
<br />the City of Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited
<br />territo~f by Resolution 67-93, which said Resolution was regularly
<br />published as required by law and gave notice of protest hearing to
<br />be held on August 7, 1967, which hearing was regularly held; after
<br />final adjournment of said hearing on protests it was found and
<br />declared by Resolution 67-132 that a majority protest has not been
<br />made.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory,
<br />hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution 67-93
<br />was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City
<br />of Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the
<br />City existing at the time of this annexation.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
<br />of Orange, State of California, described as:
<br />
<br />Beginning at an angle point in the City boundary of the City of
<br />Santa Aha, California, as annexed by the Mabury Annex Number 1,
<br />NS 259, said point being at the intersection of a line that is
<br />parallel with and distant easterly, 30.00 feet, measured at right
<br />angles, from the centerline of Tustin Avenue with a line that is
<br />parallel with and distant southerly, 30.00 feet, measured at right
<br />angles, from the centerline of Fourth Street, as shown in the
<br />Mabury Tract, recorded in book 165, page 300, Deeds, Miscellaneous
<br />Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence south 89° 36' 45"
<br />west along said parallel line, south of the centerline of Fourth
<br />Street, and along said City Boundary, 517.41 feet, to the east
<br />line of the west half of Lot 14 of said Mabury Tract and to an
<br />angle point in the City of Santa Aha boundary, as annexed by the
<br />First and Tustin Annex, NS 296; thence south 0° 16' 35" east along
<br />said east line of the west half of Lot 14 and along said City
<br />boundary, 270.00 feet, to an angle point in said City boundary and
<br />to a line that is parallel with and distant southerly~ 300.00 feet,
<br />from the centerline, of Fourth Street; thence north 89 36' 45"
<br />east along said parallel line and along said City boundary, 236.94
<br />feet, to an angle point in said City boundary; thence south
<br />0° 16' 35" east along said City boundary, 7.03 feet, to a point
<br />in said City boundary, said point lying in the north line of that
<br />certain parcel of land conveyed by J. F. Miller and wife to
<br />C. L. Cotant and Dixon W. Tubbs by deed recorded November 24, 1922
<br />in book 444, page 285 of Deeds; thence departing from said City
<br />boundary, north 89° 31' 15" east along said north line of that
<br />certain parcel conveyed to C. L. Cotant and Dixon W. Tubbs and
<br />along the easterly extension of said north line, 280.62 feet, to
<br />a point in the City of Santa Aha boundary, as annexed by the
<br />Tustin and Fourth East Annex, NS 379, said point being distant
<br />southerly, 306.63 feet, from the centerline of Fourth Street and
<br />distant easterly, 30.00 feet, measured at right angles, from the
<br />centerline of Tustin Avenue: thence north 0° 18' 25" west along
<br />said City boundary and along a line parallel with and distant
<br />easterly, 30.00 feet, from said centerline of Tustin Avenue 276.63
<br />feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
<br />
<br />be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to
<br />Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance
<br />effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
<br />territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957
<br />and 1958 Annexes".
