ORDINANCE NS-904 AMENDING THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 2255 <br />OF CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE II THEREOF TO <br />INCREASE THE MAXIMUM LIMIT FOR VACATION <br />LEAVE <br /> <br /> WHEPdEAS, it has been determined that the present 30-day <br />per year limit for vacation leave is inequitable in those <br />instances where an employee with 20 years of service with the <br />City can earn 25 days vacation annually and modification of <br />Section 2255 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code to permit all <br />employees to accumulate one full vacation period from a previous <br />year would remove this inequity and increase the inducement for <br />employees with long service to remain with the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by amending Section 2255 of Chapter 2, Article II thereof <br />to read in words and figures as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2255. Limitation on Vacation. <br /> <br /> No employee is granted and no employee shall be allowed to <br />take any vacation leave with pay in excess of fifty (50) working <br />days in any one year by any combination of the vacations in <br />these Rules and Regulations granted. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty <br />days from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of December,~ <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE~'COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
