ORDINANCE NS-937 AMENDING SECTION 3280 OF PART 8, <br />CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE III OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE TO REVISE THE SPEED LIMITS FOR CERTAIN STREETS <br />WITHIN THE CITY <br /> <br /> WI~EREAS, on recommendation of the Director of Public Works, <br />the City Council has approved the revision of the speed limits on <br />certain streets within the City; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY C©UNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 3280 of Part 8, Chapter 2, Article <br />III of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 3280. Prima Facie Speed Limits Established. <br /> The Department of Public Works, on the basis of an engineering <br />and traffic survey, has determined that in some instances speeds <br />greater than those established by Section 22352 of the Vehicle <br />Code would be reasonable and safe upon certain streets in the <br />City of Santa Ana and would facilitate the orderly movement of <br />vehicular traffic, and in other instances that the prima facie <br />speed limit should be reduced. Pursuant to the provisions of <br />Sections 22357 and 22358 of the Vehicle Code prima facie speed <br />limits are established for the following streets or parts of <br />streets within the City and the Director of Public Works shall <br />cause signs to be erected giving notice thereof. <br /> <br />Speed Limits <br />Miles Per Hour <br /> <br />Section 3280.1.
