ORDINANCE NS-938 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 630 FILED BY HARVEY F. BENNETT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 9-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 630 A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 630, filed by HARVEY F. BENNETT for a change in District Classification from the R-1 District to the LP District, and said Commission, by its Resolution 5857, has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 630 A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on said reclassification on published notice as required by law and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That th~ real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at that point on the center line of Tustin Avenue located 2,203.8 feet, more or less, southerly from the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence easterly along a line approxi- mately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 587 feet, more or less, to the Newport Freeway right of way; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 705.4 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 587 feet, more or less, to the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence northerly along the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 705.4 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the LP District, and Sectional District Map 9-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi- fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 630 A. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
