Section 12.25. Disposal of Unused Fireworks. Any fireworks that remain after the p~blic display is concluded shall be immediately disposed of in a way safe for the particular type of fireworks remaining. Section 12.26. Exceptions. Nothing in this Article shall be construed to prohibit the use of fireworks by railroads or other transportation agencies for signal purposes or illumination or the sale or use of blank cartridges for a show or theater, or for signal or ceremonial purposes in athletics or sports, or for use by military organizations. Section 12.27. Seizure of Fireworks. The Fire Chief shall seize, take, remove, or cause to be removed, at the expense of the owner, all stocks of fireworks offered or exposed for sale, stored, or held in violation of this Article,~ Section 12.28. Prohibited Areas. NO person shall sell, store, display, or discharge any fireworks of any type in any public oil or gasoline station, or on any premises where gasoline or other in- flammable liquids are stored or dispensed. No person shall sell, store, display, or discharge any fireworks of any type in any permanent structure, nor within forty feet (40') of the same, except that any purchaser may discharge fireworks in conformance with these regulations within twenty-five feet (25') of his own residence. Appendix F of the Uniform Fire Code, adopted in Part 1 of this Chapter, is amended to read as follows: ESTABLISHMENT AND DUTIES OF BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION. aJ The Uniform Fire Code shall be enforced by the Bureau of Fire Prevention in the Fire Department of the City of Santa Aha which shall be operated under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department. The Fire Marshal in charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be appointed by the Chief of the Fire Department. -5-
