ORDINANCE NS-940 ADDING SECTION 6389 TO PART 8, <br />CHAPTEI{ 3, ARTICLE VI OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE REGULATING DRIVERS AND VEHICLES LICENSED <br />ELSEWHERE <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Article VI of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended by adding Section 6389 to Part 8, Chapter 3 <br />thereof to read in words and figures as follows: <br /> <br />Section 6389. vehicles and Drivers Licensed Elsewhere. <br /> <br /> The operator of a motor vehicle licensed by any jurisdiction <br />as a taxicab shall be deemed, upon soliciting passengers in the <br />City of Santa Ana for transportation, to be operating for hire. <br />A person licensed as a taxicab driver by any jurisdiction who <br />solicits passengers in the City of Santa Aha shall be deemed to <br />be operating for hire. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from <br />and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
