ORDINANCE NS-941 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br />ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 631 FILED BY JOSEPH R. <br />CALLENS AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 36-5-10 <br />(EXHIBIT AA 631 B) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 631 filed by <br />JOSEPH R. CALLENS proposing to reclassify from the R-1 District to <br />the R-4 District the property hereinbelow described; and said <br />Commission, by its Resolution No. 5860, has recommended DENIAL of <br />said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 631 A; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />said reclassification on published notice as required by law and <br />does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general <br />welfare require that said property be reclassified from the R-1 <br />Dis ~ict to the R-4 District in accordance with Exhibit B of <br />Sectional District Map 36-5-10, and that the use under the new <br />classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of S~nta Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of california, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at that point where the center line of Sunflower Avenue <br />intersects the center line of Bristol Street; thence easterly <br />along the center line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 637 <br />feet, more or less; thence northeasterly for a distance of <br />63 feet, more or less, to the northerly boundary line of the <br />Orange County Flood Control District and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; <br />thence westerly along said northerly boundary line of the Orange <br />County Flood Control District for a distance of 80 feet to the <br />easterly boundary line of the Orange County Flood Control District; <br />thence northerly along said easterly boundary of the Orange County <br />Flood Control District for a distance of 1080 feet, more or less; <br />thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 1106.4 feet, <br />more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel <br />to the center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 194 feet, <br />more or less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel <br />to the center line of Sunflower Street for a distance of 130 feet, <br />more or less; thence southerly for a distance of 30 feet, more or <br />less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 843.6 feet, more <br />or less, to the westerly boundary line of the Orange County Flood <br />Control District; thence southerly along said westerly boundary <br />line of the Orange County Flood Control District for a distance of <br />635.6 feet, more or less; thence southwesterly along a curve con- <br />cave northwesterly for a distance of 262 feet, more or less; thence <br />westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 1649.5 feet, more or less; <br />thence southwesterly for a distance of 119 feet, more or less, to <br />the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-4 District, and <br />Sectional District Map 36-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassi- <br />fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 631 B. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City-of S~ta <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of N~vem~er, 1968.~ ~? <br /> <br /> <br />
