ORDINANCE NS-955 PREZONING AND ESTABLISHING DISTRICT CI~SSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 636 INITIATED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND AMENDING SECTIOALAL DISTRICT MAP 32-4-9 (EXHIBIT AA 636 A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 636, initiated by the Planning Commission proposing to prezone and establish District classification from the County of Orange A-1 District to the City of Santa Aha R-1 District, and said Commission has recommended, by its Resolution No. 5867, that said prezoning and classification be approved as shown on Exhibit AA 636 A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS= SECTION 1: That the real property in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point located on the South side of the Garden Grove Freeway located approximately 400 feet, more or less, West of the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Fairhaven Avenue for a distance of 905 feet, more or less, to the Santa Ana City Boundary; thence Northerly along said Santa Ana City Boundary line for a distance of 105 feet, more or less, to the Southerly right of way line of the Garden Grove Freeway; thence Northeasterly along said Freeway right of way line for a distance of 175 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along said right of way line for a distance of 486 feet, more or less; thence South- easterly, continuing along said right of way line for a distance of 275 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby prezoned and classified from the County of Orange A-1 District to the City of Santa Ana R-1 District, and Sectional District Map 32-4-9 is hereby amended to show said prezoning and classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 636 A. SECTION 2: That this prezoning and classification shall become effective whensoever in the future the hereinabove described property is annexed to the City of Santa Ana, or thirty days from and after the date of the adoption of this Ordinance, whichever shall be the later date.
