ORDINANCE NS-974 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
<br />ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 647 FILED BY D. C.
<br />CASKEY AND R. E. DRINKGERN AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
<br />DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9 (EXHIBIT A.A. 647-A)
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
<br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 647,
<br />filed by D. C. Caskey and R. E. Drinkgern, proposing to reclassify
<br />from the A-1 District to the R-4 District the property herein-
<br />below described; and said Commission, by its Resolution No. 5888,
<br />has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance
<br />with Exhibit A.A. 647-A; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
<br />on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
<br />and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
<br />general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
<br />the A-1 District to the R-4 District in accordance with Exhibit
<br />A.A. 647-A, and that the new classification will not be detri-
<br />mental to the surrounding property;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
<br />County of Orange, State of california, described as:
<br />
<br />That portion of Block A of the Chapman Tract surveyed
<br />by Frank Lecouvreur in 1870, as shown on a map recorded
<br />in book 102, page 15 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
<br />Orange County, California, described as follows:
<br />
<br />Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of
<br />Fairhaven Avenue, 60.00 feet wide, as described in a
<br />deed to the County of Orange, recorded in book 341,
<br />page 331 of Deeds in the Office of the County Recorder
<br />of said County, with the centerline of Glassell Street,
<br />80.00 feet wide as described in the Final Decree of
<br />Condemnation rendered November 5, 1935, in the action
<br />entitled the People of the State of California, plaintiffs,
<br />vs. Johanna Mueller and others, defendants, Case No.
<br />33059 Superior Court of said County, a certified copy
<br />of which decree was recorded November 7, 1935 in book
<br />785, page 382 of Official Records of said County,
<br />thence South 12° 45' 44" East, along said last mentioned
<br />centerline 233.52 feet; thence at right angles North
<br />77° 14' 16" East 40.00 feet to the True Point of
<br />Beginning; thence South 12 45' 44" East, along the
<br />Easterly line of said Glassell Street to the Southerly
<br />line of the land described in deed to John Jacob Mueller,
<br />recorded July 24, 1897 in book 31, page 61 of Deeds;
<br />thence North 89° 56' 00" East along said Southerly line
<br />to the Southeasterly corner of the land described in
<br />said deed, thence Northerly, along the Easterly line of
<br />said land of John Jacob Mueller to a point in the South-
<br />erly line of said Fairhaven Avenue; thence South 89° 56' 00"
<br />West along said Southerly line to the Northerly prolonga-
<br />tion of the Easterly line of the land described in
<br />Resolution No. 66-100, ordering the vacation of a portion
<br />of Fairhaven Avenue as described in deed recorded November
<br />12, 1965 in book 7737, page 482 of Official Records of
<br />said County, a certified copy of said Resolution was
<br />recorded July 8, 1966 in book 7984, page 423 of Official
<br />Records of said County; thence South 00° 04' 00" East
<br />along said Northerly prolongation and the Easterly line
<br />of the land described in said Resolution, and its South-
<br />erly prolongation 154.96 feet to a line perpendicular to
<br />said Glassell Street that passes through the true point
<br />
