ORDINANCE NS-997 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br />ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 651 INITIATED BY THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT <br />MAPS 659 AND 759 (EXHIBIT AA 651 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 651 initiated <br />by the Planning Commission proposing to reclassify from the R-3 <br />District to the R-3H District all residentially zoned property <br />north of Fifth Street, east of Bush Street, south of the Santa Ana <br />Freeway and west of the Southern Pacific Railroad, which property <br />is described hereinbelow; and said Commission, by its Resolution <br />5903, has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in <br />accordance with Exhibit AA 651 A; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing <br />on said reclassification on published notice as required by law <br />and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and <br />general welfare require that said property be reclassified from the <br />R-3 District to the R-3H District in accordance with Exhibit <br />A.A. 651-A, and that the new classification will not be detrimental <br />to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />PARCEL t: <br /> Beginning at that point where the center line of Bush <br />Street intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; <br />thence northerly along the center line of Bush Street for a <br />distance of 180 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF <br />BEGINNING; thence continuing northerly along the center line <br />of Bush Street for a distance of 1,498.1 feet, more or less; <br />thence easterly for a distance of 30 feet to the westerly <br />right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad; thence <br />southeasterly along the westerly right of way line of the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad for a distance of 1710 feet, more <br />or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel <br />to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of <br />259 feet, more or less; thence northerly for a distance of <br />15 feet, more or less; thence continuing westerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street <br />for a distance of 188.4 feet, more or less, to the center line <br />of Spurgeon Street; thence southerly for a distance of 5 feet, <br />more or less; thence continuing westerly for a distance of <br />360 feet, more or less, to the center line of Bush Street and <br />the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> Beginning at that point where the center line of Bush <br />Street intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence <br />Southerly along the center line of Bush Street for a distance <br />of 224.3 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; <br />thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 1,005 feet, <br />more or less, to the westerly right of way line of the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad; thence southeasterly along said right of way <br />line for a distance of 1,526 feet, more or less; thence <br />southerly for a distance of 25 feet, more or less, to the <br />center line of Washington Avenue; thence westerly along the <br />center line of Washington Avenue for a distance of 100 feet, <br />more or less, to the center line of Poinsettia Street; thence <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
