ORDINANCE NS-998 AMENDING THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE BY ADDING DIVISION 23 TO CHAPTER 41 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE FOR THE <br />ESTABLISPLNIENT OF THE 0 (PUBLICLY OWNED LAND) DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Planning Commission, the <br />City Council has determined that the Land Use Regulations of the <br />City of Santa Ana should be amended by adding new sections to <br />Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code to provide for the <br />establishment of the 0 (Publicly Owned Land) District; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Division 23 to Chapter 41 ~hereof to read in <br />words and figures, as follows: <br /> <br />DIVISION 23. 0 (PUBLICLY OWNED LAND) <br /> <br />Sec. 41-582. Applicability of Division. <br /> 0 (publicly owned land) districts are specifically subject <br />to the regulations contained in this division. <br /> <br />Sec. 41-583. Purpose. <br /> The purpose of the 0 District is to provide for permanent <br />open spaces in the City of land owned or controlled by a <br />governmental or quasi-public agency. <br /> <br />Sec. 41-584. Uses Permitted. <br /> <br /> No building, structure, or land shall be used, and no <br />building or structure shall be designed, erected, structurally <br />altered or enlarged, except for the following purposes: <br /> <br />(a) Recreational uses; <br />(b) Flood control structures; <br />(c) Bridle trails; <br />(d) Civic Center buildings, auditoriums, and <br /> similar public structures; <br />(e) Public school buildings; <br />(f) Public utility facilities; <br /> <br />(g) Parking of motor vehicles in connection <br /> with any permitted use. <br /> <br />Sec. <br /> <br /> The <br /> <br /> 41-585. Uses Prohibited. <br /> following uses are prohibited in the 0 District: <br /> Residential uses, except for a residence of a watchman <br /> or caretaker and his family; <br />(b) Commercial uses other than those related to and under <br /> the regulation of the parks and/or other City, <br /> County, or Federal agencies; <br />(c) Industrial Uses. <br /> <br />Sec. 41-586. Building Height. <br /> There is no limitation on building height. <br /> <br />Sec. 41-587. Yard Requirements. <br /> There are no yard requirements. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty <br />days from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
