SECTION 25: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-560 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />sec~ 8-560. Permit Fees. <br /> <br /> Section 304 of the Uniform Mechanical <br />Edition, is amended by changing item No. <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Code, 1967 <br />1 to read <br /> <br />1. For the issuance of each permit --- $2.00 <br /> <br /> SECTION 25A: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-561 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-561. Refund of perf..it Fees. <br /> Section 304 of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1967 <br />Edition, is amended by adding a paragraph to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> When construction authorized by a permit is not <br />begun and no inspections have been made, the Building <br />Official shall, upon written request from the permittee, <br />make refund of fees subject to the following limitations: <br />The Building Official shall not make any refund of fees <br />collected amounting to $2.00 or less. In case a refund <br />is made, the amount of such refund shall not be more <br />than 80% of the amount of the fee paid nor shall such <br />refund include any part of the first $2.00 of such fee. <br />No refund of such fee or part thereof shall be made <br />unless applied for within one year from the date of the <br />issuance of the permit. When fees are erroneously <br />collected by duplication of permits or for construction <br />outside the jurisdiction of the city of Santa Ana, <br />100% may be refunded. <br /> <br /> SECTION 26: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-562 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 8-562. ~einspection Fees. <br /> <br /> Section 306 of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1967 <br /> Edition, is amended by adding a paragraph to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> When any reinspection is required due to the negli- <br />gence of the permit holder, his agent, or other respon- <br />sible persons, or due to the failure of said parties to <br />comply with previous correction instructions, a fee of <br />$5.00 may be charged by the Building Official prior to <br />each such reinspection. <br /> <br /> SECTION 27: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-570 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-570. Readily Accessible. <br /> <br /> Section 420 of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1967 <br />Edition, is amended by changing the definition of <br />"Readily Accessible" to read as follows: <br /> <br /> READILY ACCESSIBLE means capable of being reached <br />safely and quickly for operation, repair, or in~pe~ti0h <br />without the use of portable ladders and without requir- <br />ing those to whom ready access is requisite to climb <br />over or remove obstacles. <br /> <br /> SECTION 28: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-600 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-600. C_ondensate Drain. <br /> Section 1202 of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1967 <br />Edition, is amended by adding a sentence to the fourth <br />paragraph to read as follows: <br /> <br /> The minimum condensate drain size shall be not less <br />than three quarter inch (3/4") and shall drain over the <br />top and into an approved plumbing fixture or to a suit- <br />able sandpit outside of the building or to other approved <br />means. <br /> <br />-15- <br /> <br /> <br />
