SECTION 51: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby
<br />amended by adding Section 8-1250 thereto to read as follows:
<br />
<br />Section 8-1250. Prohibiting Immoral or Unlawful Advertisinq.
<br /> Section S-102 of the Uniform Building Code, Volume 5,
<br />Signs, is hereby amended by adding a fourth paragraph to
<br />read as follows:
<br />
<br /> No person shall post or display upon any advertising
<br />structure, sky sign, or electric sign, any words or signs
<br />of an obscene, indecent, or immoral nature or any picture,
<br />illustration or delineation of any human figure in such
<br />detail as to offend public morality or decency; or of any
<br />lewd or lascivious act, or any other matter or thing of any
<br />obscene, indecent or immoral nature, or offensive to the
<br />moral sense; or any murder, suicide, robbery, holdup, shooting,
<br />stabbing, clubbing, or beating of any human being, wherein
<br />any such act is shown in gruesome detail, or in a revolting
<br />manner, or in any manner ~bjectionable to the moral sense.

<br /> SECTION 52: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby
<br />amended by adding Section 8-1260 thereto to read as follows:
<br />
<br />Section 8-1260. Existing Signs.
<br /> Section S-102 of the Uniform Building Code, Volume 5,
<br />Signs, is hereby amended by adding a fifth paragraph to
<br />read as follows:
<br />
<br /> Existing signs authorized and constructed in accordance
<br />with a previous ordinance are exempt from the provisions of
<br />Chapters 4 through 13, inclusive, provided that no such sign
<br />shall be altered, enlarged, reconstructed, or repaired
<br />(except for normal maintenance) unless it is made to conform
<br />to all requirements of this Article for a new sign.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 53: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby
<br />amended by adding Section 8-1265 thereto to read as follows:
<br />
<br />Section 8-1265. Prohibiting Advertising on Public Property.
<br /> Section S-102 of the Uniform Building Code, Volume 5,
<br />Signs, is hereby amended by adding a sixth paragraph to
<br />read as follows:
<br />
<br /> No person except a public officer or employee in perfor-
<br />mance of a public duty shall paint, paste, print, nail,
<br />tack, or otherwise fasten any card, banner, handbill, sign,
<br />poster, advertisement, or notice of any kind on any curbstone,
<br />lamp post, pole, hydrant, bridge, wall, or tree upon any
<br />public street, or other public place, except as may be re-
<br />quired or permitted by law.

<br /> SECTION 54: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby
<br />amended by adding Section 8-1270 thereto to read as follows:
<br />
<br />Section 8-1270. Authority.
<br /> Section S-103(a) of the Uniform Building Code,
<br />Signs, is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br />Volume 5,
<br />
<br /> S-103(a) Authority. The Director of Building Safety is
<br />hereby authorized and directed to enforce all the provisions
<br />of this Code.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 55: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby
<br />amended by adding Section 8-1280 thereto to read as follows:
