4/88 MAP NOT ATTACHED ORDINANCE NS-1022 PREZONING AND ESTABLISHING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 658 FILED BY JOHN C. ADAMS AND S. N. GATES AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 20-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 658A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 658 filed by JOHN C. ADAMS and S. N. GATES proposing to prezone and establish district classification from the County of Orange M-1 District to the City of Santa Ana M-1 District, and said Commission has recommended, by its Resolution No. 5922, that said rezoning and classification be approved as shown on Exhibit AA 658 A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at that point on the southerly boundary line of the city of Santa Ana, said point being 525 feet, more or less, easterly from that point where the center line of Wright Street intersects the center line of Warner Avenue; thence northerly along said boundary for a distance of 32 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence southeasterly along the right of way line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 149 feet, more or less; thence northeasterly along the Newport Freeway right of way for a distance of 1,599.5, more or less; thence northerly for a distance of 75 feet, more or less, to the easterly City Limits of the City of Santa Ana; thence westerly along the southerly City Limits of the City of Santa Ana for a distance of 1,131.7 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line parallel to the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 1,282 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, is hereby prezoned and classified from the County of Orange M-1 District to the City of Santa Ana M-1 District, and Sectional District Map 20-5-9 is hereby amended to show said prezoning and classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 658 A. SECTION 2: That this prezoning and classification shall be- come effective whensoever in the future the hereinabove described property is annexed to the city of Santa Ana, or thirty days from and after the date of the adoption of this Ordinance, whichever shall be the later date.
