ORDINANCE NS-1104 CHANGING ZONING CLASSIFICATION <br />ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 690 FILED BY HAROLD T. <br />SEGERSTROMAND HOWARD BEAR AND AMENDING SECTIONAL <br />DISTRICT MAP 35-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 690-A.) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 690, filed <br />by Harold T. Segerstrom and Howard Bear proposing to rezone <br />from the R 1 District to the R 4 District the property herein- <br />below described; and said Commission, by its Resolution 5978, <br />has recommended approval of said reclassification in accordance <br />with Exhibit A.A. 690-A; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing <br />on said reclassification on published notice as required by law, <br />and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and <br />general welfare require that said property be rezoned from the <br />R 1 District to the R 4 District, and that the new classification <br />will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of <br />Sunflower Avenue and Bear Street; thence west along <br />the center line of Sunflower Avenue, said center <br />line also being the south boundary of the City of <br />Santa Ana, for a distance of 342.5 feet more or less; <br />thence north 1° for a distance of 1335.1 feet more or <br />less to the center line of MacArthur Boulevard; thence <br />east along the center line of MacArthur Boulevard for <br />a distance of 1382 feet more or less; thence south 1° <br />16'05" east for a distance of 1230.4 feet more or less; <br />thence west along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of MacArthur Boulevard for a distance of <br />1042 feet more or less to the northerly prolongation <br />of the center line of Bear Street; thence south along <br />the northerly prolongation of the center line of Bear <br />Street for a distance of 98.7 feet more or less and <br />to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R 1 District to the R 4 District <br />and Sectional District Map 35-5-10 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 690-A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17 day of January <br />1972. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
