ORDINANCE NS~1128 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION %702 FILED BY LYLE B. MITCHELL CHANGING ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM A-1 TO C-5ANDAMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 17-5-9 (E~/{IBIT A.A. 702-B) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application %702, filed by Lyle B. Mitchell proposing to rezone from the A-1 District to the C-1 District the property hereinbelow described; and said Commission by its Resolution %5995 recommended approval in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 702-B, reclassifying from the A-1 District to the C-5 District. WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on said reclassification on published notice as required by law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that said property be rezoned from the A-1 District to the C-5 District, and that the new classifica- tion will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Grand Avenue and McFadden Avenue, thence east along the centerline of McFadden Avenue for a distance of 1635' more or less to the intersection of the center- lines of Lyon Street and McFadden Avenue, said inter- section being the True Point of Beginning; thence north along the centerline of Lyon Street for a distance of 491.7' more or less to the intersection of said center- line and the southeasterly prolongation of the south- westerly right of way line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad right of way; thence southeasterly along said southwesterly right of way line 755' more or less to the intersection with the centerline of McFadden Avenue; thence west along said centerline 587' more or less to the True Point of Beginning. is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the C-5 District and Sectional District Map 17-5-9, as revised, is amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 702-B. SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and'after the date of its adoption, except as herein specifi- cally provided.
