ORDINANCE NS-1129 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION 9703 FILED BY SANTA ANA PLANNING COMMISSION TO REZONE PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF FIRST STREET, BET- WEEN NEWHOPE STREET AND THE ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL CHANNEL, FROM THE R 1 AND C 2 DISTRICTS TO THE C 5 DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DIS- TRICT MAP 16-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 703-A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application ~703, filed by the Santa Ana Planning Commission proposing to rezone the property on the south side of First Street, between Newhope Street and the Orange County Flood Control Channel, from the R 1 and C 2 Districts to the C 5 District and said Commission by its Resolution 5996, has recommended approval reclassifying from the R 1 and C 2 Districts to the C 5 District in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 703-A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on said reclassification on published notice as required by law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that said property be rezoned from the R 1 and C 2 Districts to the C 5 District and that the new classi- fication will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Parcel 1 Those portions of lots 1, 2, 3, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 of Tract 1287 as recorded in Book 40 Page 15 miscellaneous maps of Orange County described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of First Street and Newhope Street; thence west along the centerline of First Street for a distance of 752.2 feet more or less to the intersection of the centerline of Andres Pl.; thence southerly along the centerline of Andres Pl., for a distance of 200 feet more or less to the westerly prolongation of the southlines of lots 19, 20 and 21 of Tract 1287; thence east along said south lines for a distance of 425.2 feet more or less to the west line of lot 22 Tract 1287; thence south along said west line of lot 22 for a distance of 55 feet to the north line of lot 25; thence east along said north line and its easterly prolongation for a distance of 300 feet to the centerline of Newhope Street; thence north along the centerline of Newhope Street, for a distance of 255 feet more or less to the centerline of First and the Point of Beginning. Parcel II Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of First Street and Andres Place; thence west along the centerline of First Street for a distance of 120 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence south for a distance of 200 feet more or less along the east line of lot 3 of Tract 1287 to the south line of said lot 3; thence west along said south line for a distance of 67 feet more or less; thence north along a line parallel to the east line of lot 3 for a distance of 200 feet more or less to the centerline of
