ORDINANCE NS-1130 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION #704 <br />FILED BY SANTA ANA PLANNING COMMISSION TO REZONE <br />PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SEGERSTROM AVENUE, <br />BETWEEN AN EXTENSION OF RAITT STREET AND THE <br />CITY RESERVOIR SITE~ FROM THE M 1 DISTRICT TO <br />THE R 1-PRD DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DIS- <br />TRICT MAP 26-5-10, (EXHIBIT A.A. 704-A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application #704, filed <br />by the Santa Aha Planning Commission proposing to rezone the <br />property on the south side of Segerstrom Avenue, between an exten- <br />sion of Raitt Street and the City Reservoir Site, from the M 1 <br />District to the R 1-PRD District and said Commission by its Reso- <br />lution 5997, has recon~ended approval reclassifying from the <br />M 1 to the R 1-PRD District in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 704-A; <br />and: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />said reclassification on published notice as required by law, and <br />does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general <br />welfare require that said property be rezoned from the M 1 District <br />to the R 1-PRD District and that the new classification will not be <br />detrimental to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE v THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Segerstrom <br />Avenue and the westerly right of way line of the Orange County Flood <br />Control District Channel; thence southerly along said right of way <br />line for a distance of 408.5 feet more or less; thence departing the <br />right of way line south for a distance of 211.6 feet more or less; <br />thence westerly along a line parallel to the centerline of Segerstrom <br />~venue for a distance of 340 feet more or less; thence south for a <br />distance of 640 feet more or less to the northerly right of way line <br />of the Pacific Electric Railroad right of way; thence west along said <br />right of way line for a distance of 966.1 feet to a point 1198.9 east <br />of the west line of Lot 6 Williams Tract as recorded in Book 30, Page <br />14 Deeds Records Los Angeles County; thence north along a line para- <br />llel to said west line of Lot 6 for a distance of 1259 feet more or <br />less to the centerline of Segerstrom Avenue; thence east along the <br />centerline of Segerstrom Avenue for a distance of 1,268 feet more <br />or less to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the M 1 District to the R 1-PRD District <br />and Section District Map 26-5-10 as revised, is hereby amended to <br />show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 704-A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the <br />passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in <br />some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption, except as herein specifi- <br />cally provided. <br /> <br /> <br />
