ORDINANCE NS-1139 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION 9708 <br />FILED BY SANTA ANA PLANNING COMMISSION TO REZONE <br />PROPERTY GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THAT AREA BOUNDED <br />ON THE NORTH BY MAC ARTHUR BLVD.; ON THE EAST BY <br />A LINE PARALLEL TO AND A DISTANCE 0F'1282.1 FEET <br />WEST OF THE NORTHERLY PROLONGATION OF BEAR STREET; <br />ON THE SOUTH BY THE CITY BOUNDARY AND A LINE PARA- <br />LLEL TO AND A DISTANCE OF- 720 FEET NORTH OF THE CITY <br />A LINE PARALLEL TO AND A DISTANCE OF 1213 FEET EAST <br />OF GREENVILLE STREET FROM THE A 1 AND R 1 DISTRICTS <br />TO THE R 1-PRD DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DIS- <br />TRICT MAPS 34-5-10 and 35-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 708-A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application ~708, filed by <br />the Santa Ana Planning Commission proposing to rezone the property <br />generally described as that area bounded on the north by MacArthur <br />Blvd; on the east by a line parallel to and a distance if 1282.1 <br />feet west of the northerly prolongation of Bear Street; on the <br />south by the City boundary and a line parallel to and a distance <br />of 720 feet north of the City boundary and on the west by Green- <br />ville Street and a line parallel to and a distance of 1213 feet <br />east of Greenville Street from the from the A1 and R 1 Districts <br />to the R 1-PRD District and said Commission by its Resolution 96007 <br />has reco~ended approval reclassifying from the A 1 and R 1 Districts <br />to the R 1-PRD District in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 708-A and: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />said reclassification on published notice as required by law, and <br />does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general <br />welfare require that said property be rezoned from the A 1 and R 1 <br />Districts to the R 1-PRD District and that the new classification <br />will not be detrimental to the surrounding property: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of MacArthur <br />Boulevard and Greenville Street, thence east along the centerline <br />of MacArthur Boulevard for a distance of 2333 feet, more or less; <br />thence south along a line approximately parallel to Greenville Street <br />for a distance of 1315 feet, more or less; thence west along the <br />boundary line of the City of Santa Ana for a distance of 1120 feet, <br />more or less; thence north along a line approximately parallel to <br />Greenville Street for a distance of 720 feet, more or less; thence <br />west along a line approximately parallel to MacArthur Boulevard <br />for a distance of 1213 feet, more or less; thence north along the <br />centerline of Greenville Street for a distance of 595 feet, more <br />or less, to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the A 1 and R 1 Districts to the R 1-PRD <br />District and Sectional District Maps 34-5-10 and 35-5-10 as revised, <br />are hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with <br />Exhibit A.A. 708-A. <br /> <br /> <br />
