ORDINANCE NS-1142 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION #711 <br />FILED BY SANTA ANA PLANNING COMMISSION TO REZONE <br />PROPERTY IN THE AREA GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THAT <br />AREA BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY ALTON AVENUE; ON THE <br />EAST BY BRISTOL STREET; ON THE SOUTH BY MACARTHUR <br />BOULEVARD; AND ON THE WEST BY THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT CHANNEL FROM THE A 1 AND <br />R 1 DISTRICTS TO THE C 4 DISTRICT AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAPS 26-5-10 and 35-5-10 <br />(EXHIBIT A.A. 711-A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application #711, filed by the <br />Santa Ana Planning Conm~ission proposing to rezone the property <br />in the area bounded on the north by Alton Avenue; on the east by <br />Bristol Street; on the south by MacArthur Boulevard; and on the <br />west by the Orange County Flood Control District Channel from the <br />A 1 and R 1 Districts to the C 4 District and said Co~ission by <br />its Resolution 96010 has recommended approval reclassifying from <br />the A 1 and R 1 Districts to the C 4 District in accordance with <br />Exhibit A.A. 711-A and: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />said reclassification on published notice as required by law, and <br />does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general <br />welfare require that said property be rezoned from the A 1 and R 1 <br />Districts to the C 4 District and that the new classification will <br />not be detrimental to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Alton Avenue <br />and the easterly boundary line of the Orange County Flood Control <br />Channel; thence east along the centerline of Alton Avenue for a <br />distance of 851 feet, more or less~ to the centerline of Bristol <br />Street; thence south along the centerline of Bristol Street for a <br />distance of 1371.87 feet to the centerline of MacArthur Boulevard; <br />thence west along the centerline of MacArthur Boulevard for a <br />distance of 142.48 feet; thence northwest along the easterly <br />boundary line of the Orange County Flood Control Channel to the <br />point of beginning. <br /> <br /> is hereby reclassified from the A 1 and R 1 Districts to the <br />C 4 District and Sectional District Maps 26-5-10 and 35-5-10 as <br />revised, are hereby amended to show said reclassification in accor- <br />dance with Exhibit A.A. 711-A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the <br />passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in <br />some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption, except as herein specifi- <br />cally provided. <br /> <br /> <br />
