ORDINANCE NS-1144 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA RENUMBERING, AMENDING <br />AND ADDING TO, PORTIONS OF CHAPTER 14 <br />OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE <br />1971 ADDITION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: Chapter 14, Section 14-1 of the Santa Aha Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 14-1. Adoption of the Uniform Fire Code, 1971 Edition <br /> <br />There is hereby adopted by the City of Santa Ana that certain code <br />known as "The Uniform Fire Code, 1971 Edition," and the whole there- <br />of, save and except such portions as are herinafter deleted, added, <br />or amended, of which code not less than three (3) copies have been <br />and are now on file in the office of the clerk of the council of <br />the City of Santa Ana, and said uniform fire code is hereby adopted <br />and incorporated as though fully set forth at length herein, and <br />from the date on which this chapter shall take effect, the provi- <br />sions thereof, subject to the amendments thereto, shall be controll- <br />ing within the limits of the city and this code shall be knows as <br />"The Fire Code of the City of Santa Ana". <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: Chapter 14, Section 14-2 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-2. Adoption of Amendments of Uniform Fire Code,1971 <br />Edition. <br /> <br />The uniform fire code adopted in section 14-1 of this chapter is <br />amended in the following manner. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: Chapter 14, Sections 14-3, 14-4, 14-5, 14-6, 14-7, <br />14-8, 14-9, 14-10, 14-11, 14-12, 14-13, 14-14, 14-15, 14-16, 14-17, <br />14-18, 14-19, 14-20, 14-21 and 14-22 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />are repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4: The Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br />adding a section to be numbered Chapter 14, Section 14-3, which said <br />section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 14-3. Section 1.216, "Compliance with Recognized Standards," <br /> amended. <br /> <br /> That portion of Section 1.216, Compliance with Recognized Stan- <br />dards, setting forth the standards of the National Fire Protection <br />Association, is added to, deleted from or amended as follows: <br /> <br />National Fire Protection Association <br />60 Batterymarch Street, Boston, Mass. 02110 <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
