In addition, they shall be <br />designed to support a minimum wind uplift equal to the horizontal <br />wind load acting vertical upward normal to the roof surface, <br />except that for structures not more than 10 feet above grade the <br />uplift may be three-fourths of the horizontal wind load. When <br />enclosed with insect screening or plastic, wind loads shall be <br />applied to the structure assuming it is fully enclosed. <br /> <br /> Sec. 4903. Where required windows open into a patio cover, <br />the requirements of Sections 1305 and 1405 shall apply. <br /> <br /> Sec. 4904. A patio cover may be supported on a concrete <br />slab on grade without footings provided the slab is not less than <br />3 1/2 inches thick and further provided that the columns do no <br />support live and dead loads in excess of 750 pounds per column. <br />In addition to other approved materials, patio cover roofs may <br />be constructed of approved plastic materials. <br /> <br />1plastic, as used in this Section, is readily removable trans- <br />lucent or readily removable transparent flexible plastic screen- <br />ing of not more than 20 mils thickness. <br /> <br /> SECTION 14: <br />Municipal Code is <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1156. <br /> <br />Chapter 8, Section 8-1156 <br />hereby amended to read as <br /> <br />Adoption by reference. <br /> <br />of the Santa Ana <br />follows: <br /> <br /> There is adopted by the City that certain code known as <br />the Housing Code, Volume III of the Uniform Building Code, 1970 <br />Edition, and the whole thereof, save and except the appendix to <br />housing code, of which code not less than three (3) copies have <br />been and are on file in the office of the clerk of the council <br />of the City. This code shall be known as the Housing Code of the <br />City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> SECTION 15: Chapter 8, Section 8-290 of the Santa Ana Munici- <br />pal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-290. Adoption by reference. <br /> <br /> There is adopted by the City that certain Code known as the <br />International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials <br />Uniform Plumbing Code, 1970 Edition and the whole thereof includ- <br />ing Appendices A through G save and except for such portions as <br />are hereinafter amended of which Code not less than three (3) <br />copies have been and now are on file in the office of the Clerk <br />of the Council of the City. Said plumbing code is adopted and <br />incorporated as fully as if set forth at length herein as provided <br />for in Section 419 of the charter of the City and from the date <br />on which this section shall take effect the provisions~thereof <br />subject to the amendments hereinafter set forth shall be in effect <br />within the City limits. This Code shall be known as the Plumbing <br />Code of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> SECTION 16: The Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />by adding a section to Chapter 8, Article III, Division 2, to <br /> be numbered Section 8-329, which said section reads as <br /> follows: <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
