ORDINANCE NS-l165 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT <br />APPLICATION 4717 PILED BY SANTA ANA PLAN- <br />NING COMMISSION TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED <br />BETWEEN HARBOR BLVD. AND WEST STREET; WEST- <br />MINSTER AND HAZARD AVENUES FROM R 2 TO C 2 <br />AND R 2B AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT <br />MAP 9-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 717-A.) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of <br />and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application <br />4717, filed by the Santa Ana Planning Commission proposing <br />to rezone the property situated between Harbor Blvd. and <br />West Street; Westminster and Hazard Avenues from the R 2 <br />District to the C 2 and R 2B Districts, and amending Sec- <br />tional District Map 9-5-10 (Exhibit A.A. 717-A); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City Council regularly held a public hearing <br />on said reclassification on published notice as required by law, <br />and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and <br />general welfare require that said property be rezoned from the <br />R 2 District to the C 2 and R 2B District, and that the new <br />classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding pro- <br />perty; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa <br />Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1 <br /> <br />Beginning at that point where the center line of <br />Hazard Avenue intersects the center line of Harbor <br />Blvd.; thence westerly along said center line of <br />Hazard Avenue for a distance of 659 feet, more or <br />less; thence northerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Harbor Blvd. for a <br />distance of 660.4 feet, more or less; thence east- <br />erly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />the center line of Hazard Avenue for a distance <br />of 231.5 feet, more or less, to the True Point of <br />Beginning; thence northerly along a line approx- <br />imately parallel to the center line of Harbor <br />Blvd. for a distance of 48 feet; thence westerly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Hazard Avenue for a distance of 183.5 feet, <br />more or less; thence northerly along a line approx- <br />imately parallel to the center line of Harbor Blvd. <br />for a distance of 1,155.3 feet, more or less; thence <br />westerly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of <br />699.8 feet, more or less, to the east line of that <br />certain parcel of land owned by the Orange County <br />Flood Control District; thence northerly along said <br />east line for a distance of 232 feet, more or less, <br />to a point 550 feet, more or less, southerly of the <br />center line of Seventeenth Street; thence easterly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 950.8 <br /> <br /> <br />
