ORDINANCE NS-ll71 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION #719 FILED BY FORREST ALMQUIST, THELMA HOLMES, MICAELA VELASCO AND EDDIE PALMER TO REZONE PROPERTIES FROM THE P DISTRICT TO THE C 5 AND R 2B DISTRICTS, AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 11-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 719-B). WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held public hearings on Amendment Application #719, filed by Forrest Almquist, Thelma Holmes, Micaela Velasc o and Eddie Palmer to rezone properties located on the south side of Second Street and Bristol Street from the P District to the C 5 District; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission also finds that an R 2B zone should be established ten (10) feet wide along the north and west property lines of the subject property for the protec- tion of adjacent residential areas; and that the proposed zoning with the R 2B modification will be in conformity with the City's General Plan for the area; and WHEREAS, said Commission by its Resolution No. 6036 has recommended approval to rezone from the P District to the C 5 and R 2B Districts in the City of Santa Ana in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 719-B; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on said rezoning on published notice as required by law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general wel- fare require that said properties be rezoned from the P District to the C 5 and R 2B Districts in the City of Santa Ana, and that said rezoning will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the real property in the County of Orange, State of Californi~ described as: Parcel I - P to R 2B Beginning at the intersection of the oenterlines of Bristol and Second Streets; thence south along the center- line of Bristol Street for a distance of 35 feet, more or less; thence west along a line parallel to the centerline of Second Street for a distance of 238 feet, more or less; thence south along a line parallel to the centerline of Bristol Street for a distance of 112 feet, more or less; thence west along a line parallel to the centerline of Second Street for a distance of 10 feet; thence north along a line parallel to the centerline of Bristol Street for a distance of 147 feet to the centerline of Second Street; thence east along the centerline of Second Street for a distance of 248 feet to the point of beginning.
