4/88 EXHIBIT NOT ATTACHED ORDINANCE NS-l182 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION #722 FILED BY HELENE YUNG TO PREZONE PROPERTY LOCATED IN PRESENTLY UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF SANTA CLARA AVENUE AND THE EAST SIDE OF OLD GRAND STREET (EXCLUD- ING THE FIRE STATION SITE) FROM THE A t DISTR~CT (IN ORANGE COUNTY) to the R 1 DISTRICT (IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA) AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 5-5-9 (EXHIBIT A.A. 722-A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application #722, filed by Helen Yung proposing to prezone the property located in presently unincorporated territory on the north side of Santa Clara Avenue and the east side of Old Grand Street (excluding the fire station site) from the A 1 District (in Orange County) to the R 1 District and amending Sectional District Map 5-5-9 (Exhibit A.A. 722-A; and said Commission by its Resolution $040 has recommended approval prezoning from the A 1 District (in Orange County) to the R 1 District in the City of Santa ARa in accordance with Exhibit A. A. 722-A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on said prezoning on published notice as required by law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that said property be reclassified from the A 1 District (in Orange County) to the R 1 District (in the City of Santa Ana, and that the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Old Grand Street and Santa Clara Avenue; thence nor- therly along the centerline of Old Grand Street for a distance of 141 feet to the True Point of Beginning: thence continuing northerly for a distance of 486 feet; thence easterly along a line parallel to the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 659 feet to the existing City of Santa Ana city limits; thence south along said City limits for a distance of 617 feet to the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue; thence west along the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue, also being the City limits, for a distance of 566 feet; thence following north along the existing City limits for a distance of 140 feet; thence continuing west along the existing City limits 180 feet to the centerline of Old Grand Street and the True Point of Beginning is hereby prezoned from the A 1 District (in Orange County) to the R 1 District (in the City of Santa Ana) and Sectional District Map 5-509 is hereby amended to show said prezoning in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 722-A. SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana. __v_~m-v.. .... 3. ........~ u,~= Q~'dinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
