or passengers, from within the City of <br />Santa Ana for transportation to any des- <br />tination whatsoever. <br /> <br />(2) A driver of a vehicle being operated by <br /> City or State public agencies. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />A vehicle being operated for the purpose <br />of transporting bona fide pupils attending <br />an institution of learning between their <br />homes and such institutions. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />Vehicles rented or leased for self operation <br />by a person using such vehicle under a plan <br />commonly known as "U-Drive", but not when <br />transporting other persons for compensation. <br /> <br />Section 38-22 - Driver's Permit-Application and Fee. <br /> <br />Prior to January 1st of each year, beginning January <br />1, 1972, an application for a driver's permit should <br />be filed with the Traffic Division of the Police <br />Department on forms provided by said division; each <br />application shall be accompanied by a receipt from <br />the Treasury Division of the Finance Department show- <br />ing the payment of a five dollar ($5.00) non- <br />refundable fee. Driver's permits issued upon approval <br />of applications by the Police Department shall remain <br />in force for a period of one year from date 'of issue. <br />Renewal, replacement, and duplicate driver's permits <br />shall cost an additional ~ive dollars ($5.00). <br />Driver's permit applications (including renewal, re- <br />placement, and duplicate applications) shall include <br />the following information: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />The name, address and age of the <br />applicant, and if the applicant has ever <br />been known by any other names, such <br />other names shall be set forth; <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Marital status, complexion, color of <br />eyes and hair; <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Whether he has ever been arrested, con- <br />victed, or pleaded guilty to any crime, <br />felony or misdemeanor, and, if so, the <br />date, nature of the offense or arrest <br />and the court in which such charge was <br />made, conviction was obtained or pleas <br />of guilty was entered; <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />The kind and number of his California <br />driver's or chauffeur's license and res- <br />trictions, and whether any license to <br />drive has ever been suspended or re- <br />fused or revoked, and if so, details of <br />the reason and disposition of the matter; <br /> <br /> <br />
