Public Agency n_ball participate in the Public Employees' Retirement System from and after July 1~ 1~47, ,.~tng its employees as herein- after provided, members of said System subject to all provisions of the Public Employees' Retirement Law except such as apply only on elec- tion of a contract~n~ agency ~nd are not provided for herein and to all amendments to se.id Law hereafter enacted except such as by express pro- vision thereof apply only on the election of con~aetZn~ agencies. Employees of Public Agency in the following classes sbnll become members' of said Retirement ~ystem except such in each such class as are excluded by law or this a~reementt a. Local firemen (herein referred tq, as local safety members)t b. Local policemen (herein referred to as local safety members)! o. Employees other than local safety members (herein referred to as miscellaneous members). The following employees shall be excluded from member_nb~ p in said Retirement Syatem~ NO ADDITIONAL EXCLUSIONS. The fraction of final compensation to be provided for each year of credited prior end eux~ent service as a miscellaneous member shall be that provided in Section 212~1.1~ Of mai~ Retirement Law.
