ORDINANCE NO. NS-1211 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTIONS 8-556, <br />8-610, 8-620, AND 8-630 OF THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, PERTAINING TO THE ADOPTION <br />OF THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1973 EDITION <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Sections 8-556, 8-610, 8-620 and 8-630 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-556. Adoption by Reference. <br /> <br /> There is adopted by the City that certain code known as <br />the Uniform Mechanical Code, ~97'$~F~!tion, together with the <br />appendices and code standards therein, and the whole thereof <br />save and except such portions as are deleted by the amendments <br />set forth.in this Article, of which said code not less than <br />three (3) copies have been and are on file in the office of the <br />Clerk of the Council of the City. The said code is adopted and <br />incorporated as fully as if set forth at length herein as pro- <br />vided for in Section 419 of the Charter of the City, and, sub- <br />ject to all amendments set forth in this Article, shall be in <br />effect within the City of Santa Ana from the effective date of <br />this ordinance. Any provision of this Article amending the <br />"Mechanical Code" or "Uniform Mechanical Code" shall be con- <br />strued as amending the said adopted code, 1973 Edition, includ- <br />ing such provisions enacted prior to the enactment of this ordi- <br />nance and not thereafter repealed. The said adopted code, 1973 <br />Edition, as thus amended, together with all other provisions of <br />this Article, shall be known as the Mechanical Code of the City <br />of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Sec. 8-560. Fees (Section 304) <br /> <br /> Section 304 of the Uniform Mechanical Code, is amended <br />and subsections are added thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) Mechanical Permit Fee Schedule. Any person desiring <br />a permit required by this Code, shall, at the time of filing <br />an application therefor, pay a fee as required by this section. <br /> <br />For the issuance of each permit <br /> <br />$ 3.00 <br /> <br />For the installation or relocation of each <br /> forced-air or gravity type furnace or burner <br /> up to and including 100,000 BTU, including <br /> ducts and vents attached to such appliance <br /> <br />5.00 <br /> <br />More than 100,000 BTU to and including 500,000 <br /> BTU 7.50 <br /> <br />More than 500,000 BTU to and including 1,000,000 <br /> BTU 10.00 <br /> <br />More than 1,000,000 BTU to and including <br /> 2,000,000 BTU <br /> <br />15.00 <br /> <br />More than 2,000,000 BTU <br /> <br />For the installation or ~elocation of each <br /> floor furnace including vent <br /> <br />25.00 <br /> <br /> 5.00 <br /> <br />For the installation or relocation of each <br /> suspended heater, recessed wall heater or <br /> floor mounted unit heater including vents <br /> <br />5.00 <br /> <br /> <br />
