ORDINANCE NO. NS-1225 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING CHAPTER 41 OF THE SANTA <br />ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTION 41-167 <br />DEFINING MINI-WAREHOUSES AND BY AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 41-377, 41-395, 41-472, 41-489 AND <br />41-521 TO REQUIRE CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS <br />FOR MINI-WAREHOUSES <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 41-167 is added to the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-167. Warehouse, Mini-. <br /> <br /> A mini-warehouse is any building or structure designed <br />for storage or warehouse purposes which contains six (6) or <br />more individual or rentable units of 1,000 square feet or less <br />which are intended for separate occupancies. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That Sections 41-377, 41-395, 41-472, 41-489 <br />and 41-521 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code are amended to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-377. Uses permitted. <br /> <br />Permitted uses are: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Ail uses permitted in the C1 district but subject to <br />the conditions, restrictions and limitations of this <br />district. <br /> <br />(b) Advertising signs and structures including billboards. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Carnivals and circuses, provided, however, that no <br />such use shall locate or operate longer than ten (10) <br />days within a six-month period on the same recorded <br />parcel. <br /> <br />(d) Automotive garages including body and fender repair, <br /> painting, and engine replacement. <br /> <br />(e) Blueprinting, photoengraving, including all types of <br /> reproduction processes. <br /> <br />(f) Enclosed storage, except mini-warehouses. <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />Nightclubs, bowling alleys, dance halls, skating rinks, <br />sports stadiums, arenas and outdoor theaters; provi- <br />ded that no such establishment selling liquor or beer <br />for consumption on the premises may locate or operate <br />within three hundred (300) feet of any property zoned <br />or used for residential or agricultural purposes with- <br />out first obtaining a minor exception permit. No <br />minor exception permit shall be required when property <br />within three hundred (300) feet of an existing night- <br />club, bowling alley, dance hall, skating rink, sports <br />stadium, arena or outdoor theater, selling liquor or <br />beer for consumption on the premises subsequently is <br />zoned or used for residential or agricultural purposes. <br /> <br />(h) Equipmental rental yards for light machinery. <br /> <br />(i) Metal shops. <br /> <br />(j) Tire recapping. <br /> <br /> <br />
