ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1252 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />Sec. 2-210. City emblem - designation. <br /> <br /> The city emblem is a design used for the purpose of sym- <br />bolically representing the authority of the City of Santa Ana <br />and the capacity of its officers, employees and agents as rep- <br />resentatives of the City of Santa Ana. The general design and <br />the details of the City emblem, excluding colors, shall correspond <br />substantially with the following representation thereof: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-211. Same use in election campaign prohibited. <br /> <br /> No person shall use the city emblem, or any facsimile <br />thereof, for purposes of supporting or opposing the nomination <br />or election to any city or other public office of himself or any <br />other person, or for purposes of supporting or opposing any <br />ballot measure, nor include such city emblem on any writing <br />distributed for purposes of influencing the action of the <br />electorate, or any part thereof, in any election. This section <br />shall not be applicable to writings issued by the City of Santa <br />Ana pursuant to law. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-212. Same use by persons other than officers <br /> and employees. <br /> <br /> No person, other than an officer or employee of the City <br />of Santa Ana, shall use the city emblem, or any facsimile thereof, <br />for any purpose except to the extent he may be authorized to <br />do so by resolution of the city council. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-213. Same use for malicious or financial <br /> purposes prohibited <br /> <br /> No person shall use the city emblem, or any facsimile <br />thereof, for any malicious purpose or for the purpose of personal <br />financial gain. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: The provisions of sections 2-200, 2-202, <br />and 2-210, as added to the Santa Ana Municipal Code by <br />Section I of this ordinance, are intended as, and shall be <br />construed to be, declaratory of existing law. <br /> <br /> <br />
