ORDINANCE NS-1270.1 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That the bonded indebtedness and interest of the <br />City for the LIBRARY BOND FUND authorized by voters by their ballots <br />cast in the Special Municipal Bond Election held November 6, 1956, <br />may be paid for the current year, the rate of $0.0150 each $100.00 <br />of the taxable property in said City is hereby fixed, but that said <br />rate shall not apply to any territory added to the City by annexation <br />proceedings under the following designated names and certified by the <br />Secretary of State on the dates set opposite said designated names, <br />as follows: <br /> <br />S.E. Annex <br /> <br />August 8, 1958 <br /> <br />And said rate shall not apply to any territory added <br />annexation proceedings certified by the Secretary of <br />September 1, 1958. <br /> <br />to the City by <br />State after <br /> <br /> SECTION 4: That this ordinance is urgently required for the <br />immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety for the <br />reasons that the levy of the taxes hereby made is necessary for the <br />usual and current expenses of the City of Santa Ana in order to <br />maintain the necessary payments of the various departments of the <br />City, to retain the employees and to obtain the necessary supplies <br />to police and otherwise protect the persons and property within the <br />City and to render the other necessary services; therefore, the City <br />Council declares that this ordinance shall take effect as, and is <br />adopted as, an emergency measure and is to be enforced from the date <br />of its publication. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the <br />passage and adoption of this ordinance as an emergency ordinance and <br />shall cause the same to be published within 15 days after its adoption <br />in some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa <br />ana. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />as an emergency ordinance at its regular meeting held on the 21st day <br />of July, 1975. <br /> <br /> <br />
