NS-1294 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />~iENDING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING <br />SECTION 2-1 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO BIND THE CITY TO CHANGE ORDERS ON CITY <br />CONTRACTS WHERE THE CHANGE ORDER DOES NOT <br />CUMULATIVELY iEXCEED FIVE PERCENT .(5%) OF <br />THE CONTtLACT OBLIGATION OR TWO THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($2,000.00) WHICHEVER IS THE <br />LESSER. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That there is hereby added to Article I Chapter <br />2 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 2-1 to read as follows: <br /> <br />SEC. 2-1 City Manager's Authority to approve change orders. <br /> <br /> The City Manager of the City of Santa Ana is hereby author- <br />ized to bind the City of Santa Ana on change orders to City contracts <br />for materials, supplies, or equipment, or for public works construc- <br />tion (as defined in Santa Aha City Charter Sec. 421) without previous <br />City Council approval when such change order for any one contract <br />together with any previously approved change orders for said contract <br />do not cumulatively amount to an increase of the city's expenditure <br />obligation under said contract of more than five percent (5%) , or <br />the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00), whichever is the <br />lesser. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of <br /> February , 1976. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE QOUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF ORAl, GE ) ss.: <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
