REL:nr <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1296 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 735 <br />FILED BY JAMES E. AND LEOLA J. NOE, DWIGHT <br />C. AND IRIS E. SCHROEDER, AND LOWELL K. <br />AND BETTY GRAY SCHROEDER, REZONING PROPERTY <br />FROM THE 60-A1-7200 (GENERAL AGRICULTURAL) <br />DISTRICT TO THE R1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) <br />DISTRICT, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT <br />MAP6-5-9 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has. given notice of <br />and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. <br />735, filed by James E. and Leola J. Noe, Dwight C. and Iris E. <br />Schroeder, and Lowell K. and Betty Gray Schroeder, to rezone <br />property, generally located on the west side of Old Grand <br />Avenue between Beechwood Street and Joana Drive, from the <br />60-A1-7200 District to the R1 District, and said Planning Com- <br />mission has recommended approval of said application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear- <br />ing on said rezoning on published notice as required by law, <br />and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and <br />general welfare require that said property be reclassified from <br />the 60-A1-7200 District to the R1 District, and that such new <br />classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding pro- <br />perty; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of <br />Santa Ana, County of Orange, California, consisting of two par- <br />cels described as follows: <br /> <br />Parcel 1: Lots 34, 36, and 38 of the Santa Ana <br />Grand Avenue Tract as shown on a map recorded in <br />Book 26, Page 53 of MM, L.A. County, excepting <br />from Lot 38 that portion lying Westerly of a line <br />parallel with the centerline of Grand Avenue (Old <br />Grand), 80 feet wide, as shown on said map of <br />Santa Ana Grand Avenue Tract, which parallel line <br />intersects the Southerly line of Lot 48 of said <br />tract at a point 150 feet Westerly, measured along <br />said Southerly line, from the Southwesterly corner of <br />said lot, and lying Southerly of the Easterly prolon- <br />gation of the Northerly line of that Portion of <br />Block A of the AB Chapman Tract, surveyed by Frank <br />Lecouvreur, in 1870, as shown on a map recorded in <br />Book 102, Page 15 of MM, records of Orange County <br />as described in a deed to Otto F. Schroeder and <br />wife recorded April 14, 1937 in Book 833, Page 121, <br />Official Records, Orange County, California; and <br /> <br />Parcel 2: The Easterly 150 feet of Lot 40 of the <br />Santa Aha Grand Avenue Tract as shown in a map <br />recorded in Book 26, Page 53 of MM, Los Angeles <br />County; <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the 60-A1-7200 (General Agricul- <br />tural) District to the R1 (Single-Family Residence) District! <br />and that Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show <br />said reclassification, in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 735-A. <br /> <br /> <br />
