NS-1304 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 738 FILED BY MARY <br />LOUISE LILY RANNEY, REZONING PROPERTY FROM THE <br />C2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT TO THE R1 <br />(SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT, AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 10-5-10 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of <br />and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 738, <br />filed by Mary Louise Lily Ranney to rezone property generally <br />located south of Seventeenth Street and west of Fairview Street <br />and the Santa Aha River in the City of Santa Ana, from the C2 <br />(General Commercial) District to the R1 (Single-family Residence) <br />District, and said Planning Commission has recommended approval <br />of said application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear- <br />ing on said rezoning on published notice as required by law, and <br />does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and gene- <br />ral welfare require said property be reclassified from the C2 <br />(General Commercial) District to the R1 (Single-family Residence) <br />District, and that such new classification will not be detrimen- <br />tal to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa <br />Ana, County of Orange, California, described as folloWs: <br /> <br />That portion of Section 10 in the Township 5 South, <br />Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, City of <br />Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 12 of <br />Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County <br />Recorder of said County, described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the north line of said <br />Section 10, distant West 520.00 feet from the <br />Northeast corner of said Section 10, thence South <br />436.00 feet parallel with the East line of Said <br />Section 10, thence West along a line parallel to <br />the north line of said Section 10 a distance of <br />144.12 feet, thence Northerly in a straight line <br />to a point of intersection with the north line <br />of said Section 10 that is distant 661.85 feet <br />west of the northeast corner of said Section 10, <br />thence easterly along said north line 141.85 <br />feet to the point of beginning, EXCEPTING THERE- <br />FROM the North 210.00 feet of said parcel; <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the C2 (General Commercial) District <br />to the R1 (Single-family Residence) District, and that SeCtional <br />District Map 10-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassifi- <br />cation, in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 738-A. <br /> <br /> <br />
